Z-Auction Need your help!
HI all,
I am auctioning my deliver position on ebay. This is the second time around for this. No matter how I word the ad, everyone expects me to sell them the car for the bid amount, like $1000.
So I'm asking if you all would read the auction and tell me what is so confusing! I would greatly appreciate it!
ebay Item # 1834022354
Link (might work)

Thanks so much.
PS, If you want the postition, just let me know. No markup, just recover my deposit.

hmmm... that would be pretty tough to word, especially if people are clueless about the pre-order process. Maybe you could say something like "Buy the benefit of being one of the first to purchase this car when it makes its debut in August"
Doubt that helped, but maybe?

I'd recommend you change the title of the auction to CLEARLY state that they are not bidding on the car, but the deposit.
Right now, based on the title alone (which is the first thing people will see, thus scewing their judgement), people will think it's the actual car. Maybe something like "2003 350z - Take Over my Pre-Order Deposit"
Also, like someone else suggested, change the image to a scan of your receipt, not a picture of the car. That's going to confuse people too. Include a link to some of the picture galleries on line, but no actual photos. It may not be as sexy but it's a more accurate representation of what they are physically bidding on.

Might want to post a date range....like August to October. Doubt anyone will see a Z in their driveway in August.

Thanks all, (and to all who will continue to make suggestions).
As I have received a bid, ebay will not allow any changes but if I run it a third time, all the above will be incorporated.
Thanks again.

You may want to mimic your language similar to this one posted on Ebay. This sellergot $6100. for his $1000 deposit. The auction has been closed so you need to go to auctions ended under 350Z .. Item # 1833432503. Good Luck.
