LOL. In that case, are you sure the Viper wasn't a stationery object?

LOL...yeah, it was actually a video filmed at a drag strip, so it wasn't some underground street racing video filmed at night

I would keep the Z, mod it with a supercharger or turbo. Still not as fast as the Viper but not that far behind, and it looks better. MY opinion.

thanks for all the feedback, most of which I agree with but the trouble is I like the 350 but find it a lot slower than the previous cars I have owned.I agree about the corvette as my brother has a c5 and he leaves me standing mainly due to the lack of traction on the 350, however I wouln't buy a m3 bmw as every man and his dog drives one where I live and I dont think they look their value which in the UK is approx $74,000 for a nice one. RIP OF BRITAIN! You are so lucky compared to us when it comes to the cost of motoring.

All good points. Just a reminder to some of you: There's quite a bit more to a sports car than performance. The bang for buck concept is great for a drag racer -- but theres a difference between a project drag car and a daily (or weekend) driver.

You can add performance to anything (really, anything) -- but you can't substitute quality, workmanship, reliability, and overall styling.

You really cannot even compare the 2 cars, the Viper is so superior in every aspect its rediculous. I have had a 1994 RT/10 and I currently have a 2004 Z Roadster, the Z is like a VW bug compared to the Viper. Besides, the Viper gets attention and respect everywhere you go, and the maintainence is not all that bad, but when something goes wrong it is not cheap to fix. I would get a Viper and purchase an extended warranty so you won't have to worry about it. Going from a Z to a Viper is like going from Martha Stewart to Carmen Electra.

....and going from Martha Stewart to Carmen Electra is BAD??? I dunno what you people go for in KC, but here in Tampa I'm pretty sure going to Carmen Electra would be an upgrade over anything!
Unless you happen to have Vida Guerra, but that's an entirely different story!
I love the 350Z, but who am I kidding...if I had the money, you'd see me sitting in a Viper!!!

Ah damn it! Now I can't stop thinking about Martha Stewart!!

I wouldn't go as far as saying that it was THAT bad sheesh!

It's more like..going from the local hot chick/ who is ok in bed, to an international supermodel/ pornstar....there!

I remember when I got out of my bro in laws viper and back into my 95 ta a few years ago, it felt like there was something wrong when I would stomp on the gas. That LT1 was no slouch, unless you are comparing it to the v10
