Question Lemon or no...?

Ok i have been having numerous problems with my car.
I need some input to whether or not this might qualify as a lemon.
Problems are as follows:

1. Grease strips, drivers side window isnt sealed properly so light water gets in and also seeps through my tweeter in the corner of window. Also windows rattle and drivers side goes up faster then passenger side.

2. Brakes, rotors were resurfaced at 12k pads replaced at 18k still squeaking, the started 2 months after i purchased car.

3. Center console, when driving at night or in minimal traffic i can hear the rattle comming from the front of the console, also the buttons on my homelink rattle.

4. Service engine light is on.

5. Every once in a while my rpm needle will get stuck.

6. Heat has a burning smell to it.

7. Tire feathering.

8. When i first turn the car on in the morning my cd player skips for about 10 minutes.

9. I hear a creaking noise comming from the back right corner when i roll off from a stop.

10. Leather is wearing like crazy.

11. Floor mat ripped.

12. Shift **** has chips in the leather and metal and comes unscrewed when it wants.

13. Steering wheel has cracks on the top.

14. Emergency brake=useless.

How many times have you brought the car in to Nissan to be serviced for these issues?

You know what is funny, I was about to ask the same thing. Let me ask it in here instead so we are not counter productive . 5ilsver5tone, almost all the problems are having are common for a lot of us. Anyway, heres what I'm asking of everyone who reads your thread

ATTN: ALL '03 350z owners:

These are the following problems I've had/or currently have

1. Tranny grind (tranny was replaced. Works great)
2. Grease streaks (went away)
3. Tire feathering (got tsb done. still a little noisy)
4. Varios rattles ( i can live with it)
5. Rattling at low RPM when taking off in 1st or 2nd gear (thought tranny swap would fix this but guess not
6. After long periods of driving, I get a throwout bearing type rattling noise from my car.
7. Bose amp replaced

I suspect if I had a better dealer, I would of had these issues resolved. However, my dealer keeps telling me they cant reproduce a lot of the sounds.

All in all I LOVE my Z.

what do you guys think? I know a lot of what I mentioned are VERY COMMON problems with the '03 350s. Should I just stop being a wimp and suck it up???? I love this car.

To all those who feel they have a lemon, it depends on how many times the car has been to the dealership and the failure of the dealership to correct that specific problem. Grease streaks and rattles and leather wear will hardly ever qualify for the lemon law, but tranny, tire feathering (i.e. suspension) and other mechanical issues will qualify. First, open up a case file with NNA (Nissan of North America), just so they know what is going on. If you decide to pursue the lemon law route, hire an attorney and take the matter as far as you can. But before you do that, it needs to be documented that the car was taken in for specific problems and the dealership has been unable to correct the problem.

To SpoonieLuv, I do not think you have a Lemon, just common issues with first year production cars.

To 5ilver5stone, you seem to have a bunch of problems (all of which can be corrected), but I know its a hassle to keep going back and forth to the dealer. Open up a case file with NNA, drop off your car at the dealership with a laundry list of the problems, demand a loaner/rental car while your car is being serviced and hope for the best.

Very common problems, I agree. But the thing that pisses me off is the dealers act like they have never heard of any of these problems before. Why are these dealers acting stupid when you ask them about known problems ?

4. The Check Engine Light should be looked at by the dealer immediately.

# 10 and 11 just seem like poor caring for the car. The floor mat didn't just rip itself apart, did it?
