Exclamation Rear Wheels hoping?

I looked around for some answer to this question and found nothing so here it goes...

On takeoff from the line, wether my tires are warmed up or cold, I get this un-nerving "hop" in the rear tires when they start to spin. It's a very scary sound and it feels like I am breaking something, other then traction. Dose anyone know what I am talking about and what the cause/fix is?

I was also wondering if there are any 350Z car clubs in the Maryland area? I love my Z, I even dream about driving it!

Its called wheel up and if you have it don't stay in it as it can tear up your rear end or worse. You'll have to learn how to walk the fine line between wheel hop and acceleration. It can happen on any car but it is real common with a IRS suspension.
Thanks Mikes

Sorry for the newb questions... Is there a way to get away from it? I am still learning my Z and have yet to discover its full potential. The only time I open it up is when I am already doing 70 or 80 mph. Taken it up to 150 so far, thats a looooonnnng 6th gear

Kinetix sells a traction rod that could help some.
