Default Vette or 350z

Sounds crazy BUT...I'm really struggling with the decision here!
I can afford either and I know all about the Vette but I did drive a 04 350z and must say it was the most fun I've had driving anything sinse I can remember.

Thin is I can buy the Vette for 10k more--seems like a no brainer but I just can't seem to leave the 350z alone!!!
UGH!!!

Any Vette fans?

uncle has a 2002 Z06 and i have a 2004 350z. Although his is faster, he also admits my car is more fun to drive, and turns about the same if not more heads!

The C5 is more of a sports car than any of the preceding models (which were hot-rods, not sports cars), and I really like it. I've driven a couple and had a great time. I think the C6 is ugly with the new lights and all. If I'd had the extra 10K, I probably would have bought a C5. If you have speed channel, watch the American LeMans series sometime. It will sell you on the Vette.

On the other hand, you could buy a Z and sink 10K in mods into it. You could probably pass any Vette on the road with THAT car.

I'm glad I'm not in your shoes, my friend. That is a tough call, but in the end, I think I would go for the Vette....

I say if you can get a C6, get the vette. If all you can afford is a C5, get the 350Z and throw a turbo on it. Nobody wants yesterday's bodystyle, so go with the newer look, IMO. You will have fun in either car, so whatever you decide wont be the wrong choice.

I completely disagree. I think the C5 looks better than the C6. I think this last gen Mustang looks better than the new ones about to come out (although many will think that's just dumb on my part). And give me an R34 over the new Skyline any day. Don't get me wrong, I like the C6, the new Mustang, and the new Skyline, but the older styles were all better in my opinion.

Hahahahaaa! Now that's funny!

It's strange but it is a struggle because of the C5's ageing style, it's been out for 7 years now and feels dated.
When looking at the Vette and even driving it-it just doesn't have what it used to have, kinda like been there done that.

Re-sale is going to be better on the Vette but I feel it will be more of a garage queen where as the 350z would get drivin.

True, but I wouldn't be surprised if the new GTR followed in the footsteps of the new Skyline, especially if the American version is to be released as an Infiniti.

Default tough call

Boy... tough call. Although I could afford (but didn't consider the Corvette), the Z06 would smoke our Z's hands down. Only prob is they have bad reliability and current gens have crappy interiors.

They also get amazingly good gas mileage considering how much power they have.

Gotta admit the Vette's interior far exceeds the 350z's.
I really wish Nissan would have done a better job in that department.
Everyone likes a kick a$$ interior as well as exterior.

While they are small, they're HUGE compared to Miatas.

Wow, I like the Z's interior much better than the C5. It is far to similar to my Dad's Yukon for my tastes.

Now, as far as the C6 goes, the Vette interior looks awesome. I wouldn't mind sitting in that thing for two hours a day.

I have the Z now, but will probably move on to a C6 Z06 if that adds any data. I really like the current Z06 (other than the interior issue), but didn't want to spend the money and got the 350Z instead.
