Default Color Confusion?!

I'm just about to finalize my pre-order, but I'm unsure whether to go with Daytona Blue or Silverstone. Both are great colors of course. Silverstone would be more conservative over time I suppose, while the blue is more sharp and sporty. I'm leaning a little towards the blue right now. What do you guys think a 23 year old should get?

I'll be 23 in August and I think I'm going to end up with Daytona.

I've already had a sports car with a similar paint color to the Silverstone in the past. It looks great but the Daytona Blue is allot like the BMW M3 Blue and I LOVE those cars!

The best thing about silver is it'd be much easier to keep clean and looking good than Daytona Blue or Black.

Sabre-
go with daytona. I'm 21 and I did. It's more "fun" per se, don't you think? Just like they said that blondes have more fun - it's all perspective. hehe. I figure - either way, you'll love this car!

Well if you have to choose between those two, think about it this way. They're both great colors on this car. But, everyone and their dog gets silver cars these days. A sharp blue like that will stand out much better. So if you want to blend, go with silverstone, otherwise, go with daytona. I'm a super black myself though. I guess I'll be in the car wash more often

This car looks better in person but here's what I was thinking of in the above post about the blue M3:

They look much better in person though.

That blue M3 is a fantastic color, I really love it. I have seen it in person several times and drooled. Unfortunately, that isn't even close to the daytona blue color. If it was, I might have gotten it. The daytona blue is much brighter and deeper blue. The M3 blue is duller. Daytona is still sharp, but not my thing.

the E46 M3 has more of a turqorise(sp) ocean type color to it. While the Z has a deep blue.

Beautiful

I didn't say it was the same color. I said that it was similar and that I like it.

In direct sunlight, the color of that smurfy M3 looks allot like the pictures of the Daytona Blue Z I've seen.

I love them both and that's probably because blue and yellow are my favorite colors.

So... I'll have my yellow Jeep and my blue Z. That, hopefully, will satisfy my automotive desires for years to come... Until the US Spec R35 comes out

That'll be out of my price range for some time though so I'll just have to drool from afar

I should have mentioned this in the original post, but I'm also debating between the Enthusiast and Touring models. I see that most are getting the Touring, but that is another $3,300 over the Enthusiast. I'm wondering if it is really worth it, because it is quite a bit more. Do you think the ride quality will be a little more harsh with the 18's than 17's on the Enthusiast model?

The ride quality comparison between 17 and 18 wheels is minute.

The choice on wheels should be based on your personal opinions about looks.

The cars on 17s might actually be just a bit faster if you take into account the fact that they are effectively geared a small amount shorter.

I'm planning to go with a Performance model primarily because I like the 18" wheels' design much better than the 17s.

As someone already said, the M3 Laguna Seca Blue is actually turquoise. Fantastic color though. It's the color I am going after for my M3. Yellow was my first choice but E46 Phoenix Yellow, as they call it, is more of a dull mustard shade.

You cant go wrong with any of the colors on the 350Z. They all look fantastic. You might want to pick a color based on your personality. If you are conservative then go with silver. If you have wild days then you will be happy with blue

Not a great picture I know, but my personal favorite was the E36 blue. It's lighter than the Z but still catches the eye in the same way.

I know nothing about the M3 except what I have read here. It is a very nice looking car and it's performance sounds amazing. BUT, if you don't really know the car, and you just see it, you'd think it was the "family truckster" or something. It looks like a volvo or some other conservative ride.

At least with the Z, even if you know nothing about the car at all, all you need to do is look at it and you KNOW it performs.

Just my opinion. No flames from you M3 lovers now!
