What was the first car that was really yours?
'76 Ford Pinto Stationwagon.
Man that sucker could move! JK It would start about 2/3 of the time, so I had to catch rides home from school with my sister all the time. What a bummer.
Plus someone told me that because of the positioning of the gas tank, they blow up all the time. Made me feel real secure.
Got rid of it within a year and bought a '78 Pontiac LeMans. They were big old four door sedans back then. Straight 350. Beat a hell of a lot of cars in that thing with no mods. Still a piece of junk, but kinda fund for a high school car.

1995 Honda Civic Ex. Yes it was riced out, but I still love that car. I ran the hell out of that car from day one, and it still runs great to this day. It's been across the continental US twice, up to Canada a couple of times, and has been stolen and later recovered once. What can I say, Honda makes great cars. Thought I would always be a Honda guy...then the Z came.
Oh, and the only major thing I had to replace in 215,000 miles was the clutch.

My very quality '95 Nissan Altima (minus 2 hubcaps). It's been through the Texas heat and an upstate New York winter (okay, everyone says last winter was nothing, but it was more than I cared for). It's a trooper. I drive it like a **** and it keep on going.
I hope to be replacing it with a Z early next year.

'89 240SX. First model year, everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Bought it used from my old boss. She's still running great and will be the property of a proud new owner soon.
First car I ever drove was donated by my dad, a 1981 Buick Skylark. Don't laugh, it was the performance model. Even had the special high flow grill.

75 Mustang II - 2.3 litre four cylinder. Just a Pinto disguised. Not bad looking though. Put mag wheels, exhaust header and a glasspack exhaust and thought I was pretty cool. Embarassing now.
A 1968 Chevy station wagon that I bought for $800. Then a brand spankin' new 1973 Camaro six months later. I was living in Omaha at the time. I had just turned 21 when I bought the Camaro.
'89 Ford Probe GT
2.2L turbo...torque steer like a ****, but still a blast to drive. Got rid of it about 5 yrs ago. Looking forward to even better performance and fun with new Z. Ordered in Jan., at this point I'll be surprised if it shows up before first snowfall. What's the deal with the wait?

280K miles when i got it. 360K when we parted ways. Never even had the head off the motor. 4sp manual, could keep them lit thru 3rd gear.
First year of fuel injection on the Z's. Amazing how wrong they got it. Had a composite insulator for an injector boss . Looked @ them funny and they cracked. It would then proceed to weep fuel directly onto the exhaust manifold. Remember non-cross flow heads. 3 times, 3 times I say, I was sitting @ a stoplight, flames erupted around the edges of the hood. Nothing like a flash fire to grab your attention.
Electrical gremlins like Lucas had designed / built the wiring harness. Had a hard time keeping the smoke contained in the ignition system. Carried a pair of pliers in the glove box to bridge the starter motor selinoid when the ignition switch refused to work.
Complete driver's side floor pan, 100% bondo. Suprised my foot never hit the pavement.
All that and I still miss that car.....

76' Chevy Blazer. Blew the engine orig. engine after 2 weeks racing it . Stripped the truck, cut out the back to reduce weight and ripped out small block 350, put in 75' Olds 350 (390lbs torque/375hp). I spent a good 7k (back then a lot of $$$) on the engine and another 2k in the tranny (400THD/manual valve body). 13.5 sec. 1/4 mile. It took me a little more than a year to build it from scratch, not bad for my first time. That's where my fascination with engines and racing were born. These days I'm more into cars that can handle on rails and whip your *** into a sling shot that would give you a rush of pure power. Ahhh the good old days. No computer ecu's back then. lol. -m
1994 Nissan Altima GXE Black. Rims, system, exhaust, tint. It was a fun ride.
Now I got a 01 Acura CL Type S, silver, non-navi, tinted lowered, with intake.
