I am in the market for a new Z car. I went the the closest Nissan dealer here in Sugar Land (Sterling McCall) and they would not budge on the price.

What are some of the prices you have payed? And is there any dealers and/or sales person you recommend? I'm trying to get the best deal possible. I dont think anyone should pay MSRP for any car...

I got mine from Baker-Jackson northwest area, for sticker. It was 8 months ago and I couldn't find anyone to budge on the price, but they did throw in free tint and window etching. Overall very happy with that dealership.

I got mine from Baker Jackson North. It was someone elses preorder, one of the first. I was amazed to get it for MSRP. It took a lot for them to do it. I notice all the dealers in Houston seem to have 3-6 Zs on their lot all the time now. You shouldn't have any problems getting one below invoice. I take my car to Sterling-McCall for service because the service manager their is nice and they are close, but I don't know that I would buy a car from them. They didn't give me the time of day when I first went looking. I'd have to say try Baker-Jackson North. Specifically ask for Wayne Buchanan, if he is still there. He is the internet sales guy and treated me great. Let me know if you get a car from him, he'll owe me another one.

Wayne is ok, try to find this guy named Mylow (spelling?) if he is still working there. Hes real cool and will work with you. Watch out for the General Sales manager, he is a total dick and the reason why i walked out of their dealership and bought my 350 from another dealer. I was able to squeeze 200 off the MSRP and that was almost exactly 10 months ago.

I bought mine from Baker Jackson as well. The experience was great until I went to my trade to get my things out of my old car. I noticed that someone stole my sunglasses. The bad thing is that they were prescription and nobody could really use them. I told them about it and they acted like I was lying about it. Needless to say, I would not send anyone over there for anything.

I did get them below MSRP, but not much. This was a little over 2 months ago.

The North Baker Jackson Nissan is ok - My long time coworker has bought 4 Nissans there and they take care of him whether its service, parts, whatever.

You might want to consider using one of the advertisers on this board and having it shipped to you. If I bought my G35 over again I would have bought it from Grubbs and had it delivered rather than use the locals (Northside Infiniti).

Good luck

I bought mine at Gillman Nissan in Richmond... maybe 15 miles south of Sugarland on 59. I paid MSRP back in Jan '03 on a Track model that they had in stock. I've never been back for service since my office is right behind Mossy Nissan on I-10. But, the sales and delivery process were good.

If you don't mind pre-owned, West Houston Infinit has one Track model and at least two other Zs on the lot. And, Mossy has one Silverstone sitting on the preowned lot.

Cheers,

PeteH

Mylow was my salesman also. Good guy...I think he is no longer working there, went to a Mazda dealer I believe. My company sold window coverings to the sales manager so we've been in good terms. I recommend Baker-Jackson north... cept when I went in for service they drove my car 9 miles for an oil change
