Under the description section, he said that he can custom build one for you in any color of the Z.

I used a small white LED and modified it so that the light spreads evenly in the interior instead of making dot projection.

?? I just filed it flat.

I'm horrible with cameras, so the key to making sense out of these pictures is to sit far from the monitor.

Replica cars ROCK! I have one by my computer, I Zaino it, use tire dress, etc etc. I play with it like a little kid during the winters when my car is stored.

I am sure this guy is much better at making models than I am, but I picked up the kit a few months ago for $20 at a local hobby shop. I doubt he will be able to deliver anything similar to the Rays, as the model only comes with rims similar to the 18"s. The spoiler probably wouldn't be too hard to make. Personally, I will wait for a metal model to come out, and if they don't make a silverstone one, I will pait it myself.

here is a crappy pic of my model

Read this...Straight from the auciton.
You have the choice of two colors. The beautiful and rich "Daytona Blue" or the popular "Super Black".
I don't see Pikes Peak White...But damn man, the one with leds kicks *** dude!

Everyone that has trouble reading....from the ebay link

"You also have the option of the "Track model" 350Z which has the rear spoiler! It's all up to you! I can also custom build you a 350Z model to match your 350Z. Any of the production colors! "

I have ordered the PPW, but on that particular auction its just for a black & Daytona blue....but you can request any production color you like

the track model also has distinctive rims, and I seriously doubt that the "Track Model" has different rims.

I've got one already that I built myself. I have another one in the garage waiting to be built. I have got to find some LEDs though that is awesome!

BTW, do you have a reisistor in line with the LEDs? If so what resistance is it? I've never tried lights before, but now I'm really motivated.

What about power, LEDs take what, 1-3v? I assume a couple of AA batteries would be plenty.

I came really close to buying an rc chassis for my Z. This one is really nice, and has a chassis that fits http://microrcracing.tripod.com/dtm_x-4.htm

I am glad I spent the money renting a real Z instead.

You need to look at the spec sheets of the LEDs you buy.

Take this example of the Nichia White LED I have:

Voltage range from 3-4 volts, but i recommend 3-3.5V.
Current is .02amps or 20 milliamps.

Figure out the power source. For example, i used a 9V battery to drive all of the lights.

To get the resistance: Source voltage - voltage required, then divide by current.

In my case for 1 LED: (9-3.5)/.02 = 275 Ohms

Use a resistor with AT LEAST this value. The wattage recommended is about 1/2 Watt for 9+ volt applications.

Resistor is hooked up in series with the LED.... IE, just connect it to one of the leads (i prefer the positive end).

If you are connecting more than one LED.... hook up in parallel.
For blue and white LEDs.... two in parallel is good enough for one resistor... else you'll lose brightness.

Other colors need to be separate.... so dont' hook them up with the White and Blue LEDs. Just hook up a separate resistor which share the same power source.

By the way... The gauges, stereo, and NAV lights up when i turn on the head lights in the car.

Another seperate switch turns on the dome interior light (White LED).... it's very clean, bright, and realistic.

In reality.... I have a pair of Luxeon White LEDs which will replace the two interior dome light once I get my car.
