OK, here's the story.
I work at the Nissan dealer that did the work on this car. It is a 2003 Touring, that was driven through a large puddle and sucked up a bunch of water. It has the stock intake and yes, that is a stock con rod. NO April Fools joke here!! I'm the Parts Tech that looked up and ordered all the needed parts. In addition to a long block, it also needed the MAF unit. Luckily the owners insurance took care of the tab. The parts alone came to almost $7500.00.
Any more questions?

How the heck did they get water in the stock intake? I mean, you'd basically have to drive through a small pond. Wouldn't the water levels have to be just below the level of the headlights?
Unless my basic understanding is just wrong, I dunno.

Either that or the owner switched back to the stock intake prior to taking it in for service
