have you guys heard of Wawanessa??? my friend was w/ Geico and he paid $1400/year for his WRX... now w/ Wawanessa, they gave him $750/year.... but thing w/ Wawanessa is you have to have a CLEAN record... no tickets, accidents... nothing... if you start getting tickets/accidents, they drop you. If i had a clean record, i'd so go to them.

I'm 21 "just turned 21" and I pay 236 a month for full coverage with a $100
deductable

that is with my 350Z being my everyday driver and my 2002 CBR F4i being my playtoy

F4i has full coverage as with a $200 deductable

right now I am with State Farm

I was with progressive and paying $1500 every 6 months for my Z and $88 a month for my F4i "F4i had only comp and lia with $1000 deductable" the Z had full coverage but it was lower levels of insurance VS what I have with state farm

I've ran many many many quotes and state farm was not the cheapest for the car but I have full coverage on the bike and it is 50 bucks cheaper a month I also have a basic heath coverage that covers up to 500 bucks if I need to get xrays or see a doc as with paying for a room if Im laid up

if I had to pay over 300 for insraunce for ANY car I would never own it that is unless I was loaded but I'm not =(

I go through American Family Insurance, and for a 350Z the insurance was $200/month, and that is with me being 19 as well as having a major accident (that was my fault) on my record. Clean driving record other than that. What did you do that jacked your rates so high?

ps --- when you get into an accident you'll be glad you paid so much for insurance...

Talk to the insurance carriers. you can get discounts for many reasons, student, military, teacher, govt worker, multi-car, etc. Also play with the figures like 100/300 per accident, 10/30 uninsured, 100 comprehension, 500 colision, 50,000 property damage. Usually the carriers can help you find your price range. Don't get coverages you don't need. Unless you want to an pay more.

The other way around it, if your still with your parents. Have them cover it with out you on their policy. Then it will be cheap. The only drawback is when you get in to an accident with the z, the insurance carrier has an option to raise rates by including you on your parents policy or canceling it. And yes, since the car is insured under your parents, you or any driver will be insured also. As long your parents gave you permission to drive the vehicle. Next to that, the vehicle has to be registered under your parents.

But all in all, I think insurance is a rip off.

oh I forgot, if you have mulit-car. Make sure you use the z as pleasure use (secondary). 5000 miles or less a year. And the other car as primary. That would save you some there also.

Believe me, I know Jersey insurance, I've lived here my whole life. But I've heard such good things abot NJM. My company has it, only I've been too lazy to look into it. Now I don't know if I will.

He said $700 a month. $8,400 a year is ridiculous.

You're 18 at most. You can't remember the last 2 years of your driving?
