Lets seperate functions here.
Car dealer: Wants to sell you a car.
Car broker: Wants to find you the car you want.
Lender: Wants to loan you money to buy the car.
The only one who cares about your credit is the lender (who may or may not be the dealer). Most of us on here will tell you to have your loan in hand before going to buy a car. (If the dealer offers you a better finance deal, you can always change).
The broker has nothing to do with your credit. All she/he want to know is that you have the funds to buy the car they find for you.
The broker I use does have lending contacts but it is the lender who reviews your credit.
