Question Rear wiper leakage at full acceleration?

Since I can't do a search I was wondering if anybody is having the same small annoyance I am having:

When I accelerate at WOT from a stop, the rear wiper nozzle leaks water all over the back window.

Is this common? Is there a separate water reservoir for the back which I could empty?

If you have an 2003, you are not alone. The front and rear sprayers use the same resevoir. As far as how to fix it, I couldn't tell you as I never had the problem.

Sounds like a check valve issue...since it shouldn't be worn out, poor design maybe? Try one from another car?

Mine leaks also. Whenever I punch it, water comes out the back nozzle and dirties up the window/paint...

same thing happens to me. it sucks always having the line of water on the rear window.

the front and rear share the same resevoir. a tube runs inside the car along the passenger side to get to the rear. perhaps someone could figure out how to plug the valve or whatever the water comes out of from the resevoir to go the back. the only time i ever spray the rear is when trying to get rid of that water line anyway.

Heh, I will never spray my back window for fear that the leak will appear. I could do just as well without the wiper...

i agree...i plan to do away with the wiper as well. i think getting rid of it lets the lines of the car flow better.
