Leather Interior
I have frost and it's a PITA to keep clean. Especially since I ride with the windows down a lot. I've used the Pinnacle leather conditioner and I clean it a couple times a week with the Meguire (sp?) leather wipes. The side of the drivers seat doesn't seem to get clean though, due to getting in and out of the car so much
I used to have tan leather in my old car and it was a pain to keep clean. i would never get a light color leather.
Triso, do u already have frost leather or do U plan on getting it. I would tell U to reconsider. Or you can invest in some seat covers.

Good to know though. TTT for more owners responses with frost leather.

Do you have a Z yet? If so, does it have leather, or are you thinking of getting the leather afterwards?
I have an Enthusiast 350Z and I want to get leather added. I know the dealers are rip offs, so I'm looking around. I'm out on Long Island, but perhaps we can get a deal if we both are looking to get leather.

Good luck. I think you would be better off with the charcoal leather, as it will wear better than lighter colors. That being said, I would not pass on the used one just for the leather. If it's a good deal, jump on it.
The odds are that if you get after market leather it will be a better quality than the oem leather. The leather in most cars today is not nearly as durable as leather used to be, all in the quest to keep prices down (that's a laugh) and profits up. Use any leather cleaner product but intead of a cloth, clean it with a green scrub pad. The kind you can get at the grocery store. DO NOT USE THE RED OR BLUE PADSTHEY SELL AT HOME IMPROVEMENT/HARDWARE STORES, they are much too coarse. The green pads will get into the grain in the leather/vinyl(sides are vinyl) and do a much better job than just a cloth.Do not use alot of pressure with the scrub pad, it's not neccessary and you could rub through the finish. Then use a coth to finish. Always use a leather conditioner applied with a cloth or a special sponge after cleaning. Stay away from armorall and anything containing sliicone. They will make your seats shiny and slippery but do little for protecting the leather from wear.
I agree that factory leather is not the best...but I've yet to see ONE aftermarket job whose installation approaches factory standards. I can look at the seats and in less than 5 secs tell you they're aftermarket...even after $1500 jobs. I can't speak for the quality of aftermarket leather, but I strongly doubt it is much better than OEM. I've seen the classic soft trim and it looks like something out of the 1970s...flabby, wrinkled, and poor-fitting. I was not impressed.
