Thats good to know. I was only wondering for the sake of buying the Z. Have most of you had most of the kinks worked out within the first 9,000 miles. I have the chance to buy this used 03 Z, with you guessed it, 9,000 miles on it. I'm wondering if te guys was having the kind of problems you guys were talking about and got sick of it, or just traded it in for some other reason. The dealer said they traded it in for a truck -- but i'm a little wary.

There are some people with some problems. 40K 350z cars are sold by now. So some of them are going to have problems. That's life. And people who has problems going to complain. So it looks like everybody have a problem. In fact it's just 100 people let's say. What you should look at is percentage. Take all those complains and compare to 40000 cars sold, i.e. calculate you chance of getting a problem car. Being a quality built in Japan, your personal chance of having troubles with Z is quite small.

Two of my friends has Z too. One of them has no problem for 20K miles and another had feathering problem from the beginning. It's fixed now.

Find out where car was bought and get a reapair records for it. Chanses are it's from the same dealer. All the history is on computer and you can ask dealer to show it to you. If he refuses than you know there is a problem. If he do it right away, than look at what's there. Should be 3 or 4 oil changes and that's it. If you don't see anything - he's liying to you.
