Default one out of two ain't bad!

So I got TWO tickets recently....

ONE - doing 38 in a 30 and TWO - doing 42 in a 30!

BOTH SUCK (I would rather get an 85 or 90 on the freeway if i am going to get a ticket!) and if I have only one traffic school available per 18 months the other one would go on my record. So I called my insurance to see what would happen.

AN INCREASE OF $600.00

EVERY SIX MONTHS!!!!

Well, I could not stand for that so I pleaded not guilty to both, set up the court date for the same day (today) and went to court.

First ticket - The cop showed up, i told my story but was a no go....

I LOST, so I requested and got traffic school.

Now, here comes the good part.

I get called again, go up, NO COP, case dismissed!!!!!

So, I get one thrown out and the other dismissed with traffic school and i get to keep the same rate for a while longer.......

SWEET!!!

I just saved over $1200 in the next twelve months ALONE.

I feel like getting something else for my car now but what?????

Ya that is sorta odd that they did write you tickets for those speeds, i know around here you have to be Speedlimit +10 to get a ticket, the cops don't do anything if you are inbetween the limit and +10. Maybe East Coast cops are a little more lax

same here, I used to know of a law actually that required it to be +10. they called it speed trap laws. there were a few others that were very useful, got me out of 2 or 3 tickets.

now they changed their website and I cant find anything on the new layout.

Yeah, here 10 over is still safe. Above that you kinda need to read traffic.

It sucks that you'd get a ticket for 8 over. That was a cop looking to write tickets that day.

i believe 10 over is fine, 15 pushing it. My girlfriends dad actually got pulled over for doing 41 in a 40. Nice work cops. Insurance is legalized extortion.

california's state government is in $hit load of mess! It is dead broke and the Governator is trying to fix it, good luck...

needing so much money i think all the cities, I know san diego for sure, has increased there vigilance in writing tickets so they can make extra $$$$. Just my opinion of course but I NEED to slow down...
