Here is my Z with Air Force One in the background. Pretty Sweet. I work on the F-15 program right off the runway, so I got a pretty decent shot of the plane. I could have gotten closer, but I was just leaving work and I was too tired to go around

Pretty cool for a $700M aircraft.

A lot of people don`t know that any aircraft that the President flies in is designated "Airforce One" If he was riding in Cessna 172 that would be "Airforce One".
I read that that aircraft has some pretty amazing counter-measures and capabilities. I`ve heard that when it flies overseas it actually has a fighter escort. True?

 

You should have got a shot of it sitting next to the c-17 that was sitting over there too. That is an impressive aircraft.

Disco, did you see it too? AFO was there about 2 months ago too, seems like the pres is in STL a lot lately.

I didn't get to see it that day. I work in Building 270 for Boeing. So, I'm not too close to the action. Within a month I should be in the new ramp B75 right there next to the runway, so I should be able to see AFO sitting outside my office window when it's here.

AFO is nice, but F-15s are more impressive. I work hydraulics on them. I've been there about 6 months and still love everytime I am out on the shop working with the F-15.

 

Yeah, I have seen it a couple of times now too. I think missouri is one of the swing states that could influence the outcome of the election so Bush keeps "dropping in" on us.
