Default First AutoCross for me and my Z

I have never done autocross (solo2) before. Well today I joined SCCA and I got to do five runs and showed some improvement on my runs. Turning off the traction control helped. There was also a silver enthusiast 350 out there today, and we were the first 350's they had seen before, so they were excited to have us racing. They were not sure what class to put us in, but settled on BS meaning B class Stock. This included the 300ZX, S2000, Boxster S, and some old Corvette. I got 7th place out of 10. A 300ZX TT won in this class. The Z handled wonderfully. There was plenty of headroom for the helmet, and I am 6'4" tall. My neck is a little stiff from supporting that helmet while doing 180 degree sliding turns pulling some serious G's. It was a lot of fun. I will be looking forward to the next time. Here were my times.

49.600 sec
48.652 sec
47.705 sec
47.784 sec
47.410 sec

Can you post the other times or a link to the results for the event?

I took the tires up to 38psi, they held up just fine. They are still the stock tires. The results have not been posted online yet. When they do come up they will be posted here:

Sunset, was there any indication that your tires rolled up to the sidewall at all?

No it did not do that. In fact, the row of little nubs outside the front tread are actually still there even though I was getting some serious understeer (plow) at times when I still had the VDC on in the first two runs (I am new to Auto-Xing), so you should have no problem if you are staying stock.

Where did you Auto-X at? I have a friend that has been racing his Cobra for awhile around here.
