i have reached the breaking point! 9000 mile on a leased 04 datona blue touring model w/ nismo exhuast and intake. grinds in 2, 5, and 6, and yesterday it stated hesitating at wide open throttle. actually it would drop 2-3000 rpms before it would start accelerating again. windows are starting to streak. it is buy far the best car i have ever driven except for these problems. i was thinking about getting a track model in june, but after this i don't know! i understand these cars haven't been out long but did the 300's have this many problems when they first come out. i'm seriously thinking about getting a frontier or a titan or something that doesn't grind gears and drop me 2000 rpms when i don't take my foot off the accelerator. help! someone tell me that every thing will be okay and that buy the time i get a new z it will never have these problems. lie to me please so i can blame you later when i rip apart the new one!!!!!

 

Definately take it in to the dealer to have these problems fixed. Most of the 04s have less problems than the earlier 03s but sounds like you just got one with a bad tranny.

 

i'm taking it in next week for the oil change. they can monkey with it then. i'm just took my 93 stealth apart for the 4th time(tranny, go figure!) i'm so tired of cars with tranny problems. are there any weekly meets down there in jax or does everyone just go to blanding on friday?
