Hi guys......The gents from across the pond (England) were wondering what was happening with the class action law suit that was going on over here about the paint problem ie-soft paint,they apparently mentiond this to nissan GB but they denied that there was a problem (I didnt know there was a law suit going on about the paint) but they asked me to ask you guys.

I have never seen mention of this on any US board in the last 10 months.

I saw that it was causing an issue on 350ZUK

Not sure why this should be, whatever else they may change for different markets, the paint is going to be the same?

 

That's the first I heard of it. Everyone complains about how easily the paint chips. But I don't think anyone has done anything about it.

 

I am not aware of any class action lawsuit either.

As far as organge peel goes, every modern car has it (at least in the US - Honda, Toyoya, Mercedes, VW, Audi, doesn't matter).

I haven't heard anything from Nissan about soft paint either. Mine seems to be holding up pretty well, but I've seen pictures of other colors (especially black) that definitely look more worn than they should. I'm guessing that it is probably something that would be handled on a case by case basis.
