Well, my short time in this forum was fun. I was driving to my dads this morning and a dog ran out in front on me. I tried to swerve around the dog and ended up in a pond.......Did you know the Z will float for like 3 minutes!!

I ended up climbing out of the window and swimming to shore. From there I watched it sink. SUCKS!!!!!! The fireman and police got a kick out of it though. They called a dive team to hook it up to a tow truck and yank it out. I did not have a camera, so there are not any pics.

Hopefully I will get another.

Same here. Smacked a huge crow with my windshield last week. POW!!!! I turned my head just incase it came through (was going about 75mph) but I didn't turn the wheel at all. My wife watched the whole thing hit. She said it reminded her of those windex commercials. lol The bird had his head turned back (he had just taken off from the road right in front of us and was trying to fly away) looking at the car and SMACK!!!. Then he just kinda slid up and over and fell in the road. It was raining so the windshield wipers cleaned it up right after. Pretty freaky to say the least.

 

your the 2nd or 3rd person to mention swerving to miss a dog caused an accident... I gotta say now, I am sticking with the NASCAR solution, go straight and just hope to god it gets the hell outta the way before you get there...

I did this with my Z and a possum the a few weeks back... My buddy was following and I know I just gritted my teeth and heard the sickening thump/thwack/crunch, and thought for sure I f'd my car up. He said it looked REAL dead when it came out the back of my car... BUT my car was not damaged as far as I could see...

Sorry for you loss man... But I think the lesson we all need to remember now is just keep going and hope for the best...

Apart from the hood, it’s all stamped steel, very magnet friendly!

(1) children
(2) other vehicles
(3) large tree branches
(4) Tanabe
