~10% of the price of car. Just a rule of thumb I've used.

depends where you live.

in DuPage County, IL it's $52.57 doc fee, 6.75%, $143.00 for new plates

You can find out the taxes on your states webpage or secrtary of states webpage.

Some dude made a post on "The real cost of owning a Z". Worth a read when you get a chance...Doesn't answer your question directly, but decent anyway....

Exactly. Oregon for instance has NO sales tax... but I have no idea how much it is for car registration.

In San Diego, my price was $40,120 for my fully loaded touring roadster. Out the door, the price was $43,813.

$28,000 for my Enthus. $30,601.XX out the door.

Then, then there is the mod bug that a lot of us get.. Once you get bitten, it's all over.
