Nav DVD may get too hot
Got this from a post at zcar.com in case some of you didn't see it.
Date: Oct 1, 11:19pm
I live in Austin and got my Z in Sep 9. Well, after couple days the DVD stopped working. NAV appeared not to read the DVD. I took the DVD out and cooled using AC vents.
The NAV system started working again!
Seems that the DVD does not get powered off when ignition is off. I was able to remove the DVD when the ignition was off by just pushing the DVD eject button. Yes, it felt hot.
Yes, I have already put tint on the windows and the interior temp was not too hot. Outside temp was low 90's.
Reported this to dealer, all he did was point to owner manual stating temp may be problem for DVD. This may be a problem later on due to heat build up. Area may need some venting.
