You lucky blighters
Hello all,
I'm brand new to the board but I'd simply like to let you all now what a lucky bunch you all are as we can't get the 350Z here in the UK for about another year (through official dealerships that is).
However, I guess the good thing is that by the time we get our allocation of cars, all you State-siders will have done all the research re modifications!
Speaking of which, is anybody on this forum thinking of doing the Nismo twin turbo conversion????

Welcome mate, sorry to hear about your luck with getting the Z on the other side of the pond. You'd think with the steering wheel being on the same side as it is in Japan that you'd get them first...obviously that's not the case.
As far as the Turbo goes, I don't think they even have that yet and at any rate I'm hearing that it's not too viable?

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, I totally agree with your sentiment re there already being right hand drive versions available but cars that enter the UK have to pass Type Approval tests which require additional modifications which Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn only decided to fork out the extra for recently.
The Nismo twin turbo conversion is definitely available as I can get a 350Z (through an importer) put through Type Approval (which costs a heap) and on the options list was the t.t. conversion.
Oh well, I'll just have to live out my Z fantasies by staying in tune with the forum I guess!
