Default Nismo mods

I am (don't laugh) driving a civic right now and am going through and putting all the stock parts back on. Will adding Nismo mods to your Z add to the value of the car? Can you sell off the stock parts and not have to worry about taking a beating if you ever decide to trade it in?

Thanks for the quick reply, but I was not talking about a private party sale. I do not really want to go through this again if possible. I don't have a lot of room to store things, and it stinks paying to have stock parts put on so I can sell the aftermarket ones for 1/2 their value. I guess that is the price you pay....

You'd prob make more money back parting it out.

Mods certainly never add to the value of the car. Nismo S-Tune parts, since when installed by a dealer don't affect your warranty, may not lower the value of the car. But there really aren't that many S-Tune parts. So if you're only looking to trade it back to a dealer, you're probably gonna get more money for it doing exactly what you're doing now.

Whatever that you dumped in your car, its gone. Maybe wheels can add some value to the car. But other than that, you hardly can get much money back unless you part them out and sell them separately.

Stock looking/shape cars are better/easier to sell or trade in. I always keep all my stock parts.

most people when looking for a new car, usually look for cars that are stock. so, it depends on the people that are willing to pay for the mods you have done to your car.

Default Mods are like toilet paper...

You're glad to have them, but nobody else wants them once you're done, and your money just flushes down the toilet. Don't get me wrong, I love mods...but they are never ever any sort of investment. I think this is especially the case for the Nismo mods, which offer little if any power and cost a fortune. And used nismo parts won't have the warranty (which is really the only reason to go nismo in the first place)...so...in short, don't expect money back on your mods.

I hope on wrong just for the sake of guys on here who drop $5k on NA mods.
