What's the difference between a preorder and a regular order
I was just wondering what the difference was. I've seen so many people talk about their preorders and I didn't know if there was a date cut off or what. Someone please explain.
Thanks!
Thanks!
A Pre-Order is what Nissan put out in January to order your Z untill June, so you'd be the first to get them. That means the first Z's produced are sold and made to your liking. They wont hit the lots. A regular order is where a dealers "pre-order" list is full, but every month they have an allocation, which is where they can order a few cars for their customer to their liking. The allocation isn't sent right away to the headquater, but is sent when the time is due for them to send it. Meaning, if you came to order it in Augest, and they took your order, it is possible their allocation is fulled for Augest, and put it in the September allocation slot, meaning you'd get it in January. Mainly, pre-orders were sent to manufactor right away for building, normal orders arn't sent right away.
Thanks for the info. I ordered mine in September, so I guess that means it's just a regualr order and I won't know for sure when I'll get it. Will I get a VIN number and an order number like I've seen so many talking about?
Pre-order -- regular order <shrug>
When I spoke to Parts Peddler, he said that I could order a 350 anytime I want w/ exactly what I want. Delivery may be later than the normal dealer allotment delivery, however.
