No yellow from the factory. The only yellow I know of is the Axis Tuning car which won the Sport Compact Car challenge this year. Could you be seeing their's? I think they are down that way...

Brickyard is the color your describing. It was not a "limited" color but not that many made; best guesses I've seen are 2300-2500.
The color was discontinued after 03. I have seen no creditable reports of it coming back.
I agree the LS is a terrific color since the Brick has been discontinued.
