Mossy Nissan here in San Diego took two days for me. It really depends on the workload of the dealership you take it to. Warranty work is last on the list since the techs bill Nissan at a flat rate, which is usually lower than customer work.

the low frequency vibration I wouldnt worry about. As I have that too.

If you are grinding in between gear changes (especially when tranny is cold) then you need a new tranny. Eventually it will get worst and do it all the time.

yikes. The proper way is to give the car back to the customer and call them when the tranny comes in. I wouldnt want my z at the dealership for a week.

durobred,

What year is your car?

Dissolved,

Where do you live? I am looking for a person locally to drive my car to determine if I have a tranny problem. Somebody that has a tranny replaced!

Here is the link to the post about my tranny:

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=74968

I live in the pasadena area.

Thanks,
Tony

I think it pays eight hours. It should easily be done in four hours from start to finish if the tech is any good.

4 days to replace mine. They did the alignment while it was in the shop. Although I could have kept the car untill the ranny arrived, it was just easier to leave it at the dealer from when i first brought it in, for the grinding.

"oh we're waiting on hte parts."
"oh it'll be tomorrow"
"did we say tuesday? we really meant wednesday"
"sorry, it's still not here"

screw south point nissan!!!

and when they changed it, they dinged my door and chipped my paint. that was a whole different battle to get that fixed.
