Guys,

I have an '04 build date 02/04. Bought it from Performance Nissan.

I have about 2400 miles. My 3rd gear is not smooth (sometimes) as the other gears when going from 2nd gear. I sometimes hesitate shifting into 3rd because I hear a sound (click) similar to a beginner learning how to drive a manual (shifting into wrong gear & etc.). I have had 3 previous manuals before, so I know how to drive.

I know there was problems with '03. Those with tranny replacement, at what mileage did you notice that it was so bad and it was not your imagination?

And what did you do next?? Complain to dealer? I am going to drive it a few more thousand miles before I decide. Is the problem I have normal??

Don't know... but I would take it to the dealer -- since you bought the Z from perhaps the best Nissan dealership in the country given the quality crew consisting of Jeff, Jason, and Jenny.

Typical tranny problem...good thing I don't have that yet...hope I never do.

How many mile is on your car? What is the build date?

Do are you gears shift and feel the same?
