Default Electrical Issue? (Possible Valet Key Cause?)

The past two nights I have been driving my Z, and out of the blue the thing will just turn itself off as I'm cruising down the road.

All my warning lights flash (check engine, brakes, etc.), power steering goes out (kinda scary), and anything else electrically associated goes out.

I was not paying attention, but thought of this after the fact: could it be that I was using the valet key, and the key has some kind of driving limit feature? I've heard that it does not, but this has caused me to wonder.

I understand that it could be any number of other electrical failures, but not using the valet key would have to be the solution I want to hear. Anyone had experience with this, know my problem, or know all the features of the valet key. Thanks.

I've driven with my valet key and never had a problem. I suggest you bring it to your dealer and let him use the consult II computer to check the fault before you get stuck in the middle of nowhere..
