Default Front deflector-need to be removed when installing V1 lip?

Does the Front deflector need to be removed when installing the veilside V1 lip? thanks

nope, mine stayed on the car. the important thing to remember when installing a CF or FRP version is not to crack the thing when you put it on. Veilside sent me these instructions. I had to dremel off a small portion of the lip corners:

cool...thanks...probably getting the CF lip soon... I'm a little worried about this speed bump at work though...

over speed bumps you should be fine. this lip dosnt really lower the front at all. if you dont scrape with your stock aero kit deflector it wont scrape with the v1. it DOES stick out farther though so be careful with sharp inclines on driveways etc...and watch out for curbs of course. learned that the hard way.
