Whats up guys, I'm pretty new here. I have a super black 03 enthusiast. I've been surfin the board for about a month now but have not posted too much. I've been doing a lot of researching about various different mods for the Z and wanted to know if you guys could suggest a good place to begin with mods. I've been torn between a number of things. I've considered going with some lightweight 19's (Volks or the SSR GT-3's), an exhaust system (probably the borla true dual) or just going big and doin the greedy TT in the winter when i have enough money. I'd really like to get a pop charger but i have not because i've been so indecisive about the TT. It would basically be wasted money if i do the TT. So anyway, help me out guys, give me your feedback. Where should i start out? Thanks ahead of time!

Yes, actually i have. But i think i will re-read through it again though. And i do realize everything else i have to deal with if i do go the TT route. But thank you for posting the link again. I should probably consider what i'm looking for in the long term.
Over the last couple of months, I thought about several mods but after a little research and reading comments and experiences of others I dropped those ideas. It pays to be patient and not rush into something.
The Z is a relatively new car and a lot of aftermarket products are just starting to hit. I believe there are a lot more coming. Some of them haven't been proven and their effects won't be known for some time. The perfect example is the ATI Procharger and all of the stuff that went on with it several months ago. Good luck on whatever path you take.....

If you really are set on going TT then I'd def hold back and wait 'till you can do it. might want to hold off on exhaust & think about just hi flow cats or some form of test pipes. Just kinda guessing how much $$ youre willing to spend. TT will prob give you the biggest smile factor. Pop charger really won't do much for you except make it sound faster, the stock intake is darn good. A new set of wheels will put your personal mark on your ride that you can see every time you see it. In the end it's really up to you and your priorities and what you want to accomplish. BTW SSR GT3s are not really lightweight.

Yeah I feel the same way. While there are a lot of options, I don't think many of the mods offer an agreeable hp/$ ratio (at least not at my current income). Also, every single mod seems to be associated with some sort of problem...ATIs with timing and fuel delivery, Pop charger with stalling, high flow cats falling apart, plenums cracking, etc. This all just goes to show how young the aftermarket is. I have nothing but respect for those of you who are pioneers...I just don't have your patience.

Be patient. Save your money. Keep doing research. Get the maximum from your stock 350Z learning its limits and then make your decision. Personally I am going TT but still need to decide which system. I hope to make my choice in 4-6 months. In the mean time I will be taking my own advice offered above.

I did the pop charger and Nismo grounding wires together as my 1st mod, definately worth it and fun to install. They look and sound cool too!

Thanks for all the comments guys. You are right, i should be patient and i've been trying to be. I'm just trying to do as much reading and learning as possible as to what parts are the best for quality and performance. Redfoot, thanks for the info about the rims. I'm still lookin at different rims. I was reading the issue of Super Street with the gold Z on the cover and i really like the hyperblack 18's on the black supra inside. They are the Do-Luck Double Six wheels. Does anyone know anything about these? Jetpilot, thanks for the pic; looks awesome! Zland, i don't know any other Z owners in PA personally. Anyone on here around the Bethlehem or Reading area? I haven't gotten to do much reading about the test pipes and high flow cats. WHats the difference? Can anyone give me a quick summary and why one would be better than another?j THanks again guys!
