I was going to get all defensive, but it's not worth it. Insurance laws differ between states, you are in OH and I'm in SC. The point was supposed to be that any claim reguardless of fault is a strike against you. I'm sure we can agree on that.
Oh, and in SC and GA you can most certainly have UMPD with COL. They do serve 2 different purposes. Thats why they have it.
As for the subro thing (which reminds me, you must work for Allstate
) it happens all the time. Everyone does it, Allstate just seems to be the worst for it, or most dedicated depending on how you look at it.
Wow, you Ohio people sure stick together

UMPD & collision DO serve the same purpose. They provide protection to your vehicle if it was involved in a collision. The only difference is that UMPD would apply only if you were not at fault & the other party is uninsured. If someone carries Collision, there is no need to carry UMPD. If they did, it would just be a waste of money.
And no, I don't work for Allstate! As for subrogation, it is primarily used in a couple of different instances.
1) The insured wants to go through their own insurance company because they trust them. The said ins. co. would then subrogate the claimant carrier.
2) There is a limits issue with the claimant carrier & you must go through your own insurance company.
3) You do not have any claimant info after the accident & you would like to have your vehicle repaired right away.
An insurance company is not going to have the other insurance company foot the bill just for the heck of it.
Not really trying to argue, just want o get the facts straight.

And yes UMPD and Col do serve the same purpose but under different circumstances. To say that UMPD is a waste is like saying Life insurance is a waste becasue I will already be dead. There is a bigger picture there.
Look, your company obviously looks at things differently as everyone tends too, I'm only telling how it is here.

Yeah, you can get them in there, but not along with the luggage girlfriend requires for a three day weekend.
Loks like UPS will work out on the shipping; Hope they will accept in a Club Glove instead of boxes...thanks.
