I wanted to know whats the difference of the two and how semi automati perform differ to automatic thanks for replys. And also does semi-automatic more like a standard

It's an automatic trans with a manual shift mode that your referring to.
In manual mode it will let you keep you rpms up for cornering and allow you to do the down shift or shifts for passing. It's half way to having a real manual but there are serveral drawbacks.
The main drawback is not being able to do a decent launch and lay decent rubber. The second drawback is forgeting you in manual mode and forgeting to down shift when you want to pass.

I bought the AT5 and it will be the last one I ever buy in a sports car. Don't get me wrong it works fine but it doesn't belong in a sports car.

 

i find the downshifts suck on the man mode but you can redline shift in the man mode but quik starts need to be practiced with tcs off

 

i rev as high as i can till the brake force gives out
