Question Replace Non-Bose HU w/ Bose 6CD HU?

Does anyone have experience in replacing stock Non-Bose HU w/ Bose 6CD HU? Would current wiring connections work? Could I add Basslink X as a subwoofer? Just want to improve sound while maintaining factory standard interior. Any advice is very much appreciated.
Thanks everyone!

My advice is not to do it! It won't improve anything!

Many people with the BOSE system try to sway out the amp and speakers hoping it will help, but only to find out that the HU is the root of the problem.

You'd be much happier with an aftermarket mp3 player IMHO.

A few of us have made the swap. Its ok. Don't look for better sound. But you do get the convenience of the cd changer.

You will need a 4/5 channel amp, audiolink pd4 and a harness.

Harness can be had at Wal-mart or Ebay.
4/5 channel amp any electronics store.
Audiolink pd4 can be had at linkmeup.com

The audiolink gets rid of most of the Bose equalization crap. You will find the factory speakers are wanting as well. If you swap all of this out the system will sound ok. Also, yes the wiring plugs right in. But you need a set of splice harnesses.

To be honest bro, I'd go aftermarket with the radio stuff. Nissan radios suck according to most on this board, especially BOSE...
