best tint %
im thinking about getting tint. I live in NJ, so tint is illegal in the front windows but you can get anything on the rest. What is the best % tint and what brand, also, any good tint shop near East Brunswick, Edison?

I HIGHLY doubt you have that law right, most all "developed" states have 35% limit on tint. some central states arent so concerned with this. check with other NJ people. thats not a real lax state in regaurds to car laws.
with that said, I like 20 on the sides, just enough to be dark, but not enough that you cant see out.
I also love 5% on the hatch, makes it dark enough to offer privacy; but visibility backing up at night is severely impaired.

Madico is the best brand.I had my Benz tint done in Rt.18 (forgot the name, near blockbuster). They do a quality job. It's illegal to tint the front in NJ if i were you I'll save the money on other mods.350z + front tint(NJ) = ticket+ hassle

I just had my Z tinted two days ago with 13% (one level above limo tint) on the sides and back. It looks great! It is light enough for you to see the silhouette of a person during a sunny day, and at night you can see out of it really well.
I just drove it to work today and everyone in my office agrees that it is definitely the right level of darkness. My Titan pickup has 20% on the sides and back and it looks good, however I like the privacy that the 13% gives you.

I like 20%--it keeps out plenty of the Texas heat for me, and I can still see out my back window at night. But since you can't tint your side windows, it might look a little "off" if you went any darker in the back. Just my .02

5% all the way around minus the winshield. Looks great and I love the privacy. Also my eyes are very sensitive to sunlight and it helps ALOT. However driving at night and reversing at night is quite challenging.

20% on Silverstone.......
Pic of my SS with 20% sides & rear. I prefer the look of equal tinting all around.......... 20% works fine for me during both day & night.

This is what I have (same tint levels with llumar tint) and I think it's probably the best way to go. though recently i have been thinking about changing the sides to 5% also because Miami is just too freakin hot.
