10 yr old x + $2k in mods >>>>> new X
so yeah....high 12s, low 13s all with 180lb-ft to the rear rubbers.
either way, the 1/4 is a waste of an nsx.

Just because Honda doesn't have an inline 6 now, doesn't mean they can't make one. They could basically take the S2000 engine(either 2.0 or 2.2 liter 4 cylinder) and add on two more cylinders. This would make the engine longer and would mean that they'd need to check into any crank issues, but given the low torque of the motor and given that they already have the reciprocating mass issues resolved, there is no reason they couldn't get 340-350 HP out of that motor fairly easily. Now, the longer motor will compromise the weight balance of the S2000, but probably not by much. Also, if they changed the car to a hard top instead of a roadster, they could cut some weight out and probably end up with a sub 3000lb car again.
The point is that they would have a car that could compete with the corvette, would cost only a bit more than the S2000 (easily under $45,000), and most importantly, one that I could afford and would be willing to purchase.
Surely I can't be asking for too much!
