My Z doesn't feel fast!
Obviously lot of the forum brothers and sisters are going to disagree with me on this but, damn my Z feels so slow at times and other times actually feels fast. I have yet to race any other cars but when alone at night, with no cars around, I gas it... I'm not sure if i'm just "USED" to it by now or what, and I thought that my Z was the perfect one, meaning "No" tire feathering" ( yet, only 1100 miles) one greasy streak on the driver side window, sh!tty speakers ( i can hear the drivers side already starting to make this muffle sound (the bass is set at 0, and the treble at 4) I'm not sure what my problem is or if its my high expectancy due to some of the other Z's i've been reading about. Then again, my baby's bone @ss stock.... anyone else feel the same...

Do you forget to turn off your VDC sometimes... if you have the VDC option, may be that's why it feels slow sometimes.... or your just used to the speed...
My Explorer was fast when I started modding it, I had it for almost 3 years now and it feels slow after I drive my 350Z which is stock... I love my Z

you probably just got used to your Z , thats all...
borrow a "slow" car from your friend for a day , you'll appreciate your Z more..
Also its a good idea to start modding it. .. simple intake will make you think your Z is faster

One thing about the 350Z is that it has a very linear power band. You don't get any sudden surges in power at a certain RPM, like you get in most other cars. Honda's VTEC gives you a nice kick in the pants at about 4500 RPM, and turbos of course surge when they spool up.
This nice even power band can make the 350Z feel slow when you're alone. It's not, I assure you. To prove this, go blow somebody's doors off at a stop-light!

First bought the Z it felt fast.
A few months with a stock Z and it felt slow
Added some mods and the Z felt fast
A few months with the mods and the Z feels slow.
I dont think it will ever change.
My next round of mods will be f/I.
I can see it now.
6 PSI fast
a few months with 6 PSI slow
8 PSI fast......
hahaha

Yep, you are getting use to it.
Right now mine feels really fast, but I will get use to it.
When I bought my 93 FD it felt fast, then I started thinking it was getting slow. I had it built, went with a single Turbo, Greddy T78, conversion, street porting, etc, etc, 452 hp, and it never felt slow again. I think once you reach the 400h.p. threshold, you will feel as if its always fast enough.
Even then I wanted more, as an 11.7 in the 1/4 didn't feel fast enough after a while.
My Z feels about as quick and fast as my 7 did stock, and I am happy with that, for now.

If you knew about the history of the Z you would know the Z was never the fastest, quickest etc. car.But add up all the performance numbers, handling and price then you have a great sports car.Stop whining that the Z is not fast and enjoy the car.

You need to drive my rental I just got. Got hit last week in the Z and now have to drive this while its in the shop. Its a chevy Aveo. You wanna talk about a POS that cant get out its own way. I would rather a neon. Its only been an hour and I already miss the Z At least it wont seem slow after driving this thing all week.

Drove my buddies civic yesterday; shifts smooth as silk! Then,
Went home, got in the Z, found the gas pedal, re-introduced the gas pedal to the floor mat.
Speed is relative.
