Default Problems with driver side window?

Recently my driver side window has been acting up and not going down, or it will not engage and not go down when u open the door. It sounds like when it does work, it is straining...

let me know.

If it were mine, I'd take it to the dealer and let them fix it.

Z window motors are good for about 20K miles. They are under $300 for the part if not under warrenty. FYI. Both of mine went within a week or two of each other at 28K.

G35 must share the same window motor as the 350Z, because my driver side window went haywire on me this weekend (30k miles). I used the auto up but once the window went up, it would drop down 4 inches every time. Couldn't get the window to stay up. I could get the window up, but then when I closed my door, the window would strain to go up another 1/2 inch even though it was already up. Something must have messed up the timing of the motor. Also, a few times the window didn't respond at all after I had put it all the way down. Infiniti is replacing my window motor this weekend.

Same problem here too. I have to make an appointment this week to have it fixed. Seems to be a common problem.

I wonder if this problem is caused by the automatic lowering/rasing of the window every time you open/close the door?? Surely it puts more wear and tear on the motor, as compared to other cars. Bummer.

Bummer yeah. But don't the Bimmers do it too?

Mine just started doing it, and I realized that I need to go in and make sure my soundproofing it cut so they can take the panels off before I take the car in. I am started to get sick of all the little problems I keep having with this car *sigh*

Yes. Bimmers do it. Prior to having my Z I had a E36 M3 will 200,000 miles on it. I didnt have a problem with window or door mechanism that makes the window rise when you close it.
