I got mine when I was 20 with 79K miles. Rarely ever drive it. It now has 92K on it. It's my garage queen. I drive it usually once or twice a month.

I'm 25 and was just able to buy my brothers Z from him. I sold my Ford Focus to get the Z. My parents helped me with my first car, but had that car been a 350Z I would have been over joyed. My parents and friends parents have done very well for themselves and could've afforded to do so, that being said. I think it is in poor taste to constantly criticize younger Z owners because their parents probably helped them purchase the car. We're all here because of a common interest not to flame others because if their age and financial abilities.

And to be honest if you're a bitter old man behind a computer yelling at a kid under the age of 18 because he drives the same car as you then as they say...sucks to suck.

read this and rethink what you just said.

its not that we are criticizing them because they got a z at a young age, we are saying dont be dumb and have your priorities straight. Most of these kids come on here havent even finished school or dont have full time jobs yet they want to talk about starting turbo builds and adding mods they cant afford while they still live at home with their parents or they talk about trying to make the car faster to beat STis and EVOs when they mostly come from hondas and have never driven a RWD car before, thus they dont even know how to drive this car.

There are plenty of good examples of people on this forum who got their Zs at a young age and didnt fail. BUT there are more bad examples.

Ok, the link you posted is obviously an EXTREME case of idiocy regardless of age. Racing, drifting, etc belong on the track...period. But I still stand at my original point. Although it is easy to be a troll online we should take a better stance regarding younger members. I pretty sure we were all there once.

I am 21. Owned a 2004 Nissan Altima that I loved. I had actually messed it up half decently when I was being an idiot which caused me to not be able to get my license until I was 18 something I am grateful for now as I can't believe how stupid I was back then probably would have tried to drift the altima like that idiot on the link up there ^^ lol. Made payments on it at 18 when I got my license until I saved up about 2 grand and just paid it all off. Of course about 2 years later as I was driving home on the freeway one day some stupid ***** must have been texting or doing her makeup ignored all the warning slow down construction signs and plowed into the back of my car full speed while I was sitting at a dead stop because of the construction. Totaled.. So I got about $8,000 from the insurance company and patiently waited for the right 350z which in my small town are rare. Meanwhile driving my Grandma's extra car, a Mercury, to school and work. Finally found one for 12K. Between insurance and car payments it's costing me around 230$ a month !!!

This is where we have the disagreement. I wasnt trying to buy a sports car at 18, i was trying to finish my bachelors which i finished at 20 while working fulltime. I was focused on saving money to move to las vegas to start my new job and finish my masters. When i finished my masters is when i bought the Z.

The link I posted is a perfect example of what happens when you give a sports car to a teen. Thats why i was only allowed to have a truck till i was able to move out of the house and buy my own car.

I want to say 75% of the young owners come on the site and preach about how they saved their entire "life savings" to buy this car . Their priorities are not right and most of them still live at home, havent finished school, and their idea of a good job is being a manager at starbucks. But i digress.

My point is its just a car, yeah its nice, but if you died tomorrow the car wouldnt mean ****. But what you did with your life will mean something in memory.
