I'm 18 and bought the car myself with a little help ...aka I put gas in the tank and air in the tires while my parents pay the note. I pay for the ebay parts and plasti dip while my parents pay for all the repairs.

You are way off pal. The small amount loaned to me, I paid back within 2 months. That's all I meant. Feel a fool yet? Haha All good but don't assume you know what you don't know. Makes you look silly. YOU'VE BEEN OWNED! My Z is paid in full. I own it as well. 😎 I'm also saving to pay my own tuition at a State college, majoring in business management. So I work, go to school, study, save etc. I pay my way sir.

The word car wasn't even thought of till close to finishing college for me. That's when my cousin sold me her 96 sentra for 2 grand cuz she had a baby on the way and needed something bigger. And that was my first car.

As it turns out I had a 71 gmc 4x4 that I bought for $800 and sank every last penny I could spare into getting it road worthy.
As for the topic at hand I don't technically own a Z because its titled in my better halfs name. She bought it for me because she said I was lame and needed a sporty import car. Best random gift ive ever gotten.
Wasn't the case for me lol. Taking the bus to and from school before the car was a pain, and was still living at home at the time too so I had to scrape and save till I finally could buy some wheels.
Same car for 8 years luckily you picked a good one. I always kick myself for not getting the S2K when I got my rsx 11ish years ago but I got a bed and most of my worldly possessions in the back of that car when I moved from Florida to Massachusetts so I guess it was more practical.
Ive done some biking and walking to work, when I was 19 I saved up for a junk box truck rode my bike to the rinky dealer and then drove it back to my A.F. dorm. I had a 72 gmc 4x4 at the time but it was in Massachusetts and I was in Georgia and it wasn't in any condition for a road trip.
No no no.... you've heard the story about Nissan and Mercedes doing some joint engines, yes? Well, this is the result of a hush hush side project they had. They put a 2014 370Z into a dark room with one of their Smart Cars and this was the result of that wild night they had.

It was the first thing I got when I got a decent job. It's certainly not the same car it started out as... I had to make sacrifices to keep it too. My DD was a '97 quest for about 4 years and 90,000 miles. Say what you will about my mini van, but that was one rig that would take a lickin and keep on tickin.
We gotta have Junkers to remind us why we need something better!
Hello everyone. I'm 39, got a used 05 Z a few months ago with 180k, came with a bad d/s pw motor, bad HID ballast, and rear hatch struts which are easy fix. She's running good so far 👍🏼
