No offense, I did the military thing also. However; being in the military is basically another extension of having parents. You will be given room and board for free, told what to do and when to do it, etc.

Until you get some rank on your sleeves and move off base, you wont have to worry about rent, utilities, food and whatnot.

Ill agree with that but its better then trying to go to college failing out then moving back with the rents. or people who are still at home working the same shitty job they were a 2 years ago. Im out buying my own stuff even if the military tells me where to be when to be there and how to get there. Its the best thing ive done so far and im pretty proud about it.

Turning 30 in June.... had my first Z when I was 16.... second when I was 18, third when turned 24 (which I still own) and 4th this month for my 30th bday, albiet a little early, coudln't pass up on the deal. NEVER had a wreck where I was the culprit OR over 10mph, only 3 speeding tickets in my life. The highest one was driving a Chevy Beretta from FL to NJ. Got it Macon GA on I95 to the tune of $420 on my 19th bday.

I've most always been a safe driver and I don't subscribe to the philosophy of most on this board that young Z owners are reckless. I lay blame strictly on their parents. I turned out to be ok. Albeit a Z addict but ok at the end of the day.

Now married with a 94 300zx, (going to work on it) and a 05 ZR.

It's always a name that implies knowledge, wealth, or skills above and beyond the norm.

I'm a first time Z owner at 35. College Degree and Home owner. Hraesvelg is a hater. Who doesn't want a free Z. Who wasn't head strong and inexperienced at 17. I would give up my Z in a split second to be 17 again and know what I know now. If you are 17 and own a Z you are truly blessed. So my advice is talk big, show off your car to get as many girls as possible. Your only young once.

My dad drives a school bus for a living. If he could buy me a Z he would. 17 or 35 I would except it with gratitude. When I was 17 I would have talked big s#$t blasted the stereo and drove it like a maniac. At 35 I'm more level headed...either way I would still feel I'm driving one of the badest cars on the road(that I can afford). I normally don't post but after reading a few of yours, I had to say something. We are all lucky here, you own a Z man. Next time you want to spew some hate, remember that feeling you had when you drove off the lot. We all felt that.
