I'm 25.
My parents bought my first car in 1999 it was a 1988 supra turbo that broke down every weekend for $1,500. It is probably the only reason I know how to work on cars.
Needed a commuter car for college so I bought a used 1996 prelude in 2001. When I graduated, my girlfriend convinced me to get a brand new Nissan Frontier. Boy, what a ton of money (to buy a new car I mean--well, the girlfriend too).
Broke up with the girlfriend, got a new job, sold the truck. Bought a 2003 Silverstone Enthusiast last month.
Freedom is a beautiful thing.
I'm happy my parents got me a peice of $h1t car in the beginning. I've appreciated everything that I own and anything that my parents bless me with.
Drive safe....
