Wondering about the age of our Z owners

I'm honestly not trying to be rude or condescending when I ask the younger set (16-20) how they can afford this car.
When I was in high school and college I worked at a retail store and started at about $7/hr. Made about $9/hr by the time I quit. There is NO way I could have afforded this car at $350 a month and $100/month insurance unless I lived at home and never bought my own groceries.
I'm not saying it's unfair or that I'm jealous or anything. I loved my cheap little Prelude and SC2 cars. I'm just amazed that a parent would buy a car like this for a kid. Forgetting the price, it can be dangerous for someone with no experience. The rear wheels can break loose just taking a left at a stoplight with some energy. Nothing short of an act of god could have given my Saturn enough power to slip the wheels.
If I had a lot of cash to spend on my kid's first car, you'd better believe it would be something safe with as LITTLE hp as possible. Maybe it's just me.

Sure, but I don't think I could have done that and 15 credit hours. Or maintained a healthy relationship. I guess it's worth it for some people. I was good with my ancient 4-bangers.

[QUOTE=Spork;6899755]Alright, cool. I didn't mean any disrespect by that, in case that's what you thought. Honest question, because my father says he hates getting in and out of the Z.
I'm 25 I was 22 when I got mine... But speaking of that ^^^^^ my dad "falls" in my car haha and when he gets out he opens the door... w/ a umph and then proceeds to make himself fall out on his hands and crawls out...." I said dad i'll come around and help you. Dad says " Hell no I used to do this when I had my 95 camaro too and then he laughs
