More 350Z vs SC430 Comparison Photos
Below are comparison photos. Many people tell me that the 350Z looks like the Lexus SC430 but as you will see below they are quite different. Don't get me wrong, the Lexus is a beautiful car and the interior, sound system, and convertible top are outstanding but to me the 350Z is still the best. We went cruising together and the 350Z stole the show. One guy even mentioned that this was the first time he's ever seen where a Lexus and a Nissan would be together and the Lexus was being ignored. What do you guys think? Remember, the Lexus in this photo cost $67,000.
I like the styling on the Lexus but I'll stick with the Z as my favorite. That one front shot shows a hint of Merc SL class in the Lexus. Good shots. To me, the Lexus looks more like a "cruiser" while the Z looks like its means business.

I'm sorry guys I have to disagree with your views on the Lexus.
There's no detracting from the engineering excellence of the Lexus and the fabulous build quality but I'm sorry, the styling is bloody awful! They've sold very slowly in the UK for that very reason and in comparison as a stlye icon, the Nissan blows it in to the weeds.
(I can feel the voodoo doll pins from the Lexus lovers going through me right now!)

I didn't think of closing the top of the Lexus to get a better comparison. Sorry, too excited I guess to notice this. It would be nice to see how the two would look like side by side with the tops down although personally I feel that with the tops on the 350Z still wins hands down. A softtop Z may not look as good as a hardtop would and the Lexus hardtop does look great.

i agree that the lexus looks nice, but those wheels have got to go. ive seen nice setups on sc's and they look so much better with nicer wheels. as far as the z getting more looks from the public, thats to be understood. the sc has been around for a couple of years now. the z is new. not many people know what it is yet. in a year, i think the sc will garner more attention. especially when the power hardtop retracts.
I'd take the Lexus in a heartbeat, the styling grows on you. The interior is top notch, retractable hardtop, went to the dealership a while back just to drool. The only reason the Z might get more attention right now is due to the fact that its a brand new and its pretty hard to get currently but the styling is great. In the long run I believe the Lexus will still turn more heads. The pricetag is way out of my range so I will settle for an enthusiast Z for now, only if I could get my hands on one.

Hmm, it's interesting that the general Stateside reation to the SC's styling is positive but not so positive this side of the pond. It's generally held in the UK motoring press that the Lexus was specifically designed for the American market and judging by the reactions, I'd agree. So, the question is, what are the inherent differences in terms of taste?
