really depends on the driver...I have yet to drive my Z ( due in this week) but I have driven my friends WRX many times. He has full Turbo back exhaust and a Blitz filter. The WRX is a hard car to launch. Either you will bog it or slip the clutch so much that it takes off slow. The Z will definately take it off the line but from a rolling start it should be close...As soon as mine is broken in. I'll be racing my friend at the track...I'll let you know how it goes..

Arrow hmmmmm

Some magazines test both cars about even. If he drops the clutch from redline (in which case he is a jackass waiting for his trans to crumble) he will jump on you. Otherwise, it is up to the driver. I truly believe (its a 350z fan site, haha) both cars driven well, the 350z should win........my opinion

Please don't start a "what would win?" thread here. So much is involved when people talk racing. Armchair racing is never a great idea. People start flaming and it all goes to hell...

stock for stock they are even to about 60mph but the Z is faster to 70 or higher. the faster you go the more lead the Z will have. but I can't say if the WRX is modded.

Anyway race him, you may win some and lose some. It's not like he has a Z06 that would beat you every time.

I drove my brothers stock WRX all weekend and I would have to say the Z should def. win, the WRX is very tough to launch, just drop clutch at around 2KRPM and be prepared to shift quickly.

Yeh i think i should win too.
I dont think an intake and exhaust will do enough to beat a Z.

Just don't drive it like a *****. If you're gonna race, really race and you should be fine.

But I'm with WashUJohn, it's dangerous starting a thread like this--it could easily lead to ego bashing, etc.
