what is it? 3-4 months away before the 05's come out? i would wait. what do you have to lose?

besides, even if the salespeople knew about the 05 changes, most would just want the immediate sale so they probably wouldnt tell you of the changes anyways.

LBSOHK, your avatar is going to give me seizures

I concur with the above. I would wait. The G35's are getting a bump in horsepower. The Z will likely get it too.

the wait may kill you, but you will kick yourself in the butt if the 05 does end up having upgrades and you were too impatient to wait 3 months for it. if it doesnt, then you can get a great deal on an 04 at that time if you want.

just trying to help you out. i know you must be all emotional about getting the car right now, but take a step back and try to think it through.

true that, i would be fooking pissed if they added stuff and fixed some of the common problems. Also must have white which is a hard color to get from dealership, so the price break won't be much. What's the avg. price these days for the Z?

Well for what its worth I am ready for my Z and I have been for the last 2 months but the dealers say all types of ish about 05. I even called Nissan and they said they don't even have any info about the 05 but in the fall we will know so I am going to wait. I will hate myself if a buy a 04 350z, not that anything is worng with them but, there has to be some minor change because from 03 to 04 there were some minor changes. Just wait kid, you aint the only one but in the fall be ready to buy ASAP because you don't wanna end up on some long **** wating list.

Yes-sir-eee!

Between the dribblings of facts and rumblings of rumor, the '05 looks like a significant improvement over the '03/'04.

We know the '05 will have numerous fixes like upgraded plastics. It seems we have reliable info on a new color (yellow), heated mirrors on all models, wider side mirrors (thank goodness!), seat adjusters, etc. Then if rumors/speculation of more HP come true!

Of course, the biggie is the rumored fix to the tire feathering.

Wait a few months for the 2005 and start saving for mods! Rims, audio/video, engine, and so on. Start buying this stuff 2 weeks before you get your car. Once you get your car you'll have a room full of mods. Start modding to be different!!!

my dealer said sometime in october for 05s. no way i would wait 4 months to pay $500-$1000 more for an 05. the hp bump is only on limited edition cars which will be priced above the track trim. the feathering fix is bs. i say buy the car now.

If they don't fix the feathering I won't be buying. It's a deal-killer for me. Can Nissan engineers be that totally clueless?

Pricing is pure speculation but given the model is going into its 3rd year of production with sales cooling (last time I check YTD sales were down almost 15%) and competition heating up (e.g., RX8/new 300HP 'Stang), I'd say it's a reasonable guess Nissan will do their best to keep a lid on price increases.

Good point.

The 2 nearest dealers don't have a model/color combo I'm interested in anyway. Already checked their lots and talked to one about what'll be coming into the dealership. If it's true that dealers can only order '05s from here on out the decision is made for me.
