there isn't much of a difference in stopping distance between the brembos and the non-brembos. from 70mph to 0mph, it was like 3 feet i think (not 100% sure). BUT, the difference is in heat fade... if you track the brembos and repeatedly brake hard going into corners, it's going to hold it's grabbing power much better than the stock brakes. in the case of everyday driving, it's not going to make a difference at all except the painted calipers look cool.

Less $$$ with fewer miles.
Yeah the miles are good, but for the initial purchase, it's 8 grand more!?

Sorry; misread your post. With 45K in miles on the Touring I'd definitely go for the Track.

That track is a steal for 29K. You are basically getting a brand new car. If you get the touring with 44k miles you will regret it in about 6 months.

Maybe you've never owned a car with over 40k, but problems (mechanically) arise more often. No warranty either (ended at 36k unless there is an extended I don't know about) so you're paying for parts and labor with your own money. What if it has the tire feathering issue? You have to buy new tires yourself instead of Nissan. What about 3rd gear grinding? You'll have to buy yourself a new transmission.

If the Track is being sold as an untitled car, the warranty has never been activated so you get full advantage of the 7 year warranty. If it's used, you get only 5 years, still a great buy.

Get the Track, leather is overrated and wears out after time (has happened to me in the past). The Bose audio system sucks and for ****'s sake it has 45k miles!!! $29,000 for a new TRACK 350z with NAV is an excellent buy, I don't know why you keep questioning it.

I know the track is a great deal, but I'm a bit tight on cash and since I'd be using this car as a daily driver, I'm leaning toward the heated leather power seats, and bose stereo, plus I like the silverstone color a bit more than the track's silver. What do you think? Do I just bite the DEBT bullet and forego the luxury options of the touring? Or go with my gut? The owner of the touring has properties in several states and uses that as his primary transport, so they are DEFINITELY hwy. miles on the car?

Regarding the auctions, yes, I won both, but the track guy didn't get back to me for a week or so, so I bid on the other. Now the track guy believe it or not, couldn't get his original price and is offering it for 29 grand. So the difference between the 2 cars is about 7 grand now?

Yes. I can get everything.

Nope, just the standard 5 year 60k powertrain warranty. So i'd be covered for a little bit. It just seems like the 7 grand may be worth saving if I can get a good car with hwy miles on it, and hve a few grand in the bank? But thanks for your advice...
