Default Spare Tire

I have a 2004 350z Touring AT that has 17inch tires im going to upgrade them to either 18 or 19inch tires soon, and was wonding if i should blow a tire will I be able to put the spare on even if the tires are 18 or 19inch.

You won't want to drive on it for too many miles, but that's pretty much the case in any event. If you upgrade the brakes, using a larger caliper, you may run into clearance problems. My spare is taking up space in my utility room.

I would suggest carrying around a can of tire sealant with you.

Unless you have upgraded to a big brake kit I suggest you keep the spare.

Hell , get rid of the spare! It's only really needed when you get a flat on the expressway -or 50 miles from AAA - and have to wait 3 hours at 110* to be towed into a tire store that might be open at 2:00 a.m. for a replacement. And remember , that space could be used for those extra party beverages! Live dangerously.

The total diamater of the tire (from top to botom) does not change when you get 18 or 19 in rims. The profile changes and that is why you see less tire on more rim. So if the question you are asking is whether or not you can use the spare in case of a flat the answer is yes. The size fo your tire will be the same. That is unless you went wider when buying aftermarket rims and went with a 265 tire. In that situation the spare may pose a problem.
