I'm curious if anyone on the board would buy another Z? If not what would you get?

If I got my 35K back? Yeah, I'd probably buy another Z. What other car can you get for the money that has this kind of looks, performance and community backing. The Z is second to none in it's class in my opinion.

I'd either put a deposit down for an Elise or buy an actual race car like a Spec Miata (or something in a spec series of some sort).

In my case, I'd buy the 2005 G35 in Pearl White.
I asked my friend a similar hypothetical: if we could buy something else worth the price of our cars but not the car that we own, what would it be. I picked the 2004 Acura TL.
He drives a M3 and he picked the VW R32.

STI wasn't available when I bought the Z. I'd be giving that a long, hard look.

I'd buy another Z, no question. But I'd be very tempted if I could get a good deal on a used NSX or E46.

Would drive my old 90 Maxima and gain interest on the money for a down payment on a 06 Corvette C6. That car looks great to us.
